Three Pitfalls To Our Relationship with Christ
The famous parable of the sower is Jesus’ way of pointing out three common pitfalls to our relationship with him: a lack of understanding, a lack of discipline, and a lack of prioritization. Today we begin a parish journey we are calling “Rerouting…”! How many of us have felt lost in Mass and even in life? How do we get back on track? How do we discover God and His Church, and the purpose for which he created us?
The Substance of His Kingship: Restoration
Our mission is fidelity to the King and the announcement of his kingship. This fidelity and announcement have power. When one lives under the power of this kingship and kingdom, it is accompanied by signs, signs of merciful love: the hungry are fed, the thirsty have drink, the strangers are welcomed, the naked are clothed, the sick and prisoners are visited. The kingdom is breaking in, and these are the signs that it is present.
The King Is Coming!
