¡Adviento es una llamada de atención a esta segunda venida! Al igual que Jesús vino una vez, vendrá otra vez.

Advent: Time to Wake Up to Our Experience
We know that there is some insurmountable gap between us and what we truly want. When we look at our experience, that is what we find.
Jesus Is King
“No king” is not a good thing. “No king” and the world falls into disarray, everyone does what is right in their own eyes.
“What do you worship?”
“What do you worship?” What is of highest worth to you? What do you hold most dear? What is it that you orient you life around? Because whatever you orient your life around is going to determine where everything else in your life falls into place.
Unhindered in Mind and Body
Graciously keep us from all adversity, so that, unhindered in mind and body alike, we may pursue in freedom of heart the things that are yours.
¿Estás perdido? Está bien.
No necesitamos intentar demostrar cuán buenos y piadosos somos, debemos reconocer que somos pecadores, que estamos perdidos y que necesitamos a alguien que pueda salvarnos, que pueda encuéntranos.
Are you lost? That’s ok.
We don’t need to try to prove how good and pious we are, we need to recognize that we are sinners, that we are lost, and that we are in need of someone that can save us, that can “find” us.
Go ahead, try to make yourself happy.
Thinking you are an exception to the condition of sin, thinking, “No, I’m a good person,” or, “I’m really happy right now, I’m living my best life,” is only preventing you from receiving the happiness and fulfillment only God can give.
Gratitude Is Necessary
It is gratitude that opens our heart, that breaks down our walls, and that turns us toward the Giver. Without gratitude, we become closed in on ourselves, trapped in our own solitude, and everything becomes boring and flat.
